Communities in Schools

Mission

To work with students at Evergreen Elementary and Harbor Heights Elementary to ensure, regardless of ability or background, they have what they need to realize their potential.

Programs

After School Reading Mentor Programs, Volunteering in the Classrooms and opportunities to Fund a Need to meet specific needs that might arise in the life of a student or family.

NW FURNITURE BANK

NW FURNITURE BANK

Mission

NW Furniture Bank helps restore hope, dignity and stability in our community by recycling donated furniture to people in need.

Programs
Furniture Bank: Willing furniture store partners and local donations provide a steady source of furniture which would otherwise end up in the dump or sold at a loss. They serve victims of domestic abuse, people suffering loss from fire and natural disasters, foster homes and especially families coming from transitional housing who are trying to rebuild their lives.

Hope Furnishings is a non-profit retailer of new, used & vintage furniture & decor donated by private parties, community friends & corporate partners. All proceeds directly benefit the work and mission of the NW FURNITURE BANK.

COV YOUTH OF ALASKA

COV YOUTH OF ALASKA

Mission

To share the love and hope of Christ with Alaska’s youth and young adults through commitment to the development of ministries focusing on students between the ages of 12 and 25.

Programs

Aarrigaa- Provides services as support groups and housing for youth from rural villages as they transition to college in more urban locations. Anchorage serves as a hub for students coming from the dozens of small, isolated Eskimo and Indian villages in Alaska.

Covenant Bible Camp- a Christian youth camp serving Alaska Native children between the ages of eight and twenty-four years old from villages spanning over a range of 1,000 miles from over twenty rural villages spread over the Western coast of Alaska. The summer camp program helps them have fun and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Mission

Easter Seals Washington provides exceptional services to ensure that people with disabilities and families in need have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play.

Programs

Camp is about all the things children and adults can do — swim, ride horses, sing, eat s’mores and more. It has camping & respite programs to provide a safe, barrier-free environment for children and adults to experience all aspects of camp without usual limitations.

YWAM Honolulu

YWAM Honolulu

Mission

To know God and Make God known is the goal of all YWAM ministries internationally. This is done through training, evangelism, community impact, and reaching the unreached with the power of the gospel.

Programs

A Christian community that mobilizes missionaries to transform Oahu and the unreached world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ; both through community ministries with the homeless and refugee populations and through their Discipleship Training School, welcoming students from around the globe to train as missionaries.

YWAM Kona

To know God and Make God known is the goal of all YWAM ministries internationally. This is done through training, evangelism, community impact, and reaching the unreached with the power of the gospel.

Programs

Teams are sent out across the world to share about Jesus; to do works of compassion, mercy and justice and to make disciples. The Turkey Mission Team was planted in 2022 focusing on making disciples of young people, church planting, building a prayer house and distributing bibles amongst the unreached of Turkey.

Mission

To know God and Make God known is the goal of all YWAM ministries internationally. This is done through training, evangelism, community impact, and reaching the unreached with the power of the gospel.

Programs

Offers help, relief, and opportunities for a better life to the unfortunate and distressed sections of society across India. It has pioneered various welfare and empowerment programs among street children, lepers, those living with HIV/AIDS, drug addicts and the poor and needy. YWAM India also works to train transformational leadership and equips young people for volunteer service in life affirming projects.
